It’s spring; everything around you is full of life, green and fresh; and there’s you – all tired and nervous. Your stamina and strength are not lost forever, even if it might seem like that at the moment.

You feel exhausted because you are under so much stress – you could be feeling so stressed and tense that you come to think that it’s not stress at all, that it’s your natural state of mind. Don’t be fooled by the thought that you will get used to all the hard work with only a few moments of relaxation – it’s bad for you. You should do yourself a favor and make a few changes which will make you feel incredibly good.

Think good thoughts

We understand that it’s a sign of growing up and taking your responsibilities seriously that the first thought you have in the morning is about your obligations for that day. Sadly, it can have negative impact on the rest of your day and make you feel bad from the early morning. This is why you should practice ‘good thoughts’ every day – as soon as you open up your eyes, take a deep breath and stretch. Don’t think of anything but all the people you love and you will see how much your day will instantly improve.

Water and movement

It cannot be stressed enough how much your body needs water – it’s not just when you feel thirst that you should drink a glass or two; you should drink at least 2 liters of water per day to stay healthy. If you don’t have time to join the gym, start walking in the morning or in the evening; whenever you feel you need a walk, and take a bottle of water with you. Exercise will do you good and you will feel fresh afterwards.

Run away’ at least twice a year

Once in a while you should announce that you are going away for a weekend, turn off your mobile phone, and visit a nice spa or a good health retreatand take a few days off. Get a nice massage with essential oils, walk for hours in the nature, spend a few days away from the noisy city and obligations, and you will feel not only re-energized, but reborn. Make sure you don’t turn on your phone and don’t read the papers, you deserve some time off for all the good work in the past months.

Make sure you’re healthy

Sometimes, even if you change your habits, you still feel too tired. Maybe it’s a good idea to visit a doctor and talk to them about what is going on. Maybe you‘re anemic (you have low blood iron), or you’re suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome or hypothyroid. Even if that is the case, once you identify your problem, you will be able to adjust your lifestyle and feel better soon enough.

Dedication to your job and taking care of your home and family can really take their toll, you are only human and you need some time off every now and then. These little tricks will make you stronger and healthier in the long run.
