If you suffer from the polycystic ovary syndrome,try to eat a rich breakfast every morning! Consuming more calories every morning,compared to the later meals can help against the obstacles of the reproductive system in women whose menstrual cycle is irregular and are suffering from polycystic ovaries,say researchers from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv University.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common hormonal disorder in women and chronic condition of irregular menstruation,sometimes accompanied with increased insulin resistance,which can result in an excess of male hormones, which can cause increased hair,acne or hair loss.Affects the female reproductive system,and a rapid and accurate diagnosis can prevent long-term problems.
Israeli scientists followed 60 young women with polycystic ovary syndrome and divided them into two groups.All subjects consumed 1800 calories a day,but with one difference - the time when they consumed the rich meal.
One group consumed the rich meal of about 980 calories for breakfast,and the other group - during dinner.Researchers were interested whether the meal time can affect the insulin resistance and also can it increase the level of androgens at these women.
Those women who ate a rich breakfast,managed to reduce the level of insulin resistance by 7 %,while at the other group there were no changes.It also was found that testosterone levels decreased by 50 % at the group who had a rich meal in the morning.
