Sleeping on your back


 

The ideal sleeping position is on your back.This position prevents neck pain and back pain,reduces the return of gastric acid into the esophagus(gastroesophageal reflux disease - GERD)and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.For a lot of people who snore and have sleep apnea during sleep this position will not suit.People with pain in the neck,who sleep on their back should use bolster or anatomical support for the neck.

Cardiac patients,patients with breathing problems or glaucoma should sleep on a large pillow - half sitting position.





Sleeping on side

Next on the list of favorable positions for sleep is on your side. This position also can help with back pain,but it is necessary to put a pillow between the knees.This position is convenient for people who snore.Pregnant women are advised to sleep on the left side.


 
When sleeping on your side, shoulder and the neck suffer the most.When sleeping on your side the enhanced appearance of wrinkles on the face touching the pillow its not excluded,as well as the appearance of sagging breasts.If you have a kidney stone in one side sleep on the opposite side.


Sleeping on stomach
