A mug of beer a day is enough to improve the health of the hearts blood vessels.
Thanks to the alcoholic beer, the heart's (coronary) arteries become more elastic and the blood flow is improved two hours after a person drinks two-thirds pint of beer, according to The Daily Mail.
So one bottle of beer a day can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke by 30%. The experiment included 17 men aged 20-30 years. The test was done 1-2 hours after drinking 400ml of beer (the equivalent of two thirds of a pint of beer). The same experiment was conducted with non-alcoholic beer and vodka.
What was important for the scientist was blood circulation in the major arteries and their resilience. It turned out that all drinks affect the elasticity of blood vessels, but that alcoholic beer appeared to be the best. It positively influences the bloodstream.
