We often eat the tasty and crunchy sunflower seeds just for fun, but they are also an excellent source of calories , essential fatty acids , vitamins and minerals.We don't see these seeds as a food , and because of that we often exaggerate with this delicious seed without actually realizing that we filled our body with calories and other substances .In normal amounts the sunflower seed actually is very good for our health . 2.A big part of its calories come from the fatty acids . The seeds are particularly rich in linoleic acid . They are also good for reducing the "bad cholesterol " and increasing the "good cholesterol " in the blood .

6.The sunflower seed is one of the best sources of the B -complex group of vitamins such as niacin , folic acid , thiamine , pyridoxine , riboflavin and pantothenic acid .

7.The seed is an incredibly rich source of many essential minerals . Calcium , iron , zinc , magnesium , selenium , and coal are especially concentrated in the sunflower .
