Homemade Remedy For The Treatment Of Pancreatic Cancer

Chinese bitter gourd juice can destroy pancreatic cancer cells, according to a research group of scientists from the United States.

 
A medical team from the University of Colorado, who specializes in cancer research, in a series of tests found that Chinese bitter gourd juice prevents pancreatic cancer cells to absorb glucose, by  intersecting their energy source and kills them. The study was published in the journal Carcinogenesis.

Three years ago, researchers studied the effect of extracts of Chinese bitter gourd in breast cancer and have achieved impressive results. In the new, much deeper study, we used the juice of bitter gourd that is widely used in Asian countries where the rate of developing pancreatic cancer is much lower than in the West.

"We have shown that the juice of Chinese bitter gourd is very effective in limiting glucose metabolism, which drives cancer cells to starve in the absence of the necessary nutrients. As a result of this action the cancer cells die, and the gourds juice will improve the results of each tumor therapy," said Rajesh Agarwal, the author of the studies of the Center for prevention and Control of cancer (Cancer prevention and control at the CU cancer Center.

 
Diabetes usually precedes pancreatic cancer, and Chinese bitter gourd is used for centuries for the prevention of type 2 diabetes in folk medicine of China and India. By this logic, Agarwal and his colleagues wondered what is the relationship of Chinese bitter gourd and pancreatic cancer, informs Science Daily. Thus was born the idea for this research.

In fact the drugs on the basis of the juice can be used for prevention and treatment of pancreatic cancer. This is already proven with the animals. Perhaps it is no coincidence, because the Chinese bitter gourd stimulates pancreatic beta cells to secrete insulin. After studying the cell culture experts have found that mice that were fed the Chinese bitter gourd juice had 60% less chance of developing this type of cancer compared with those who did not.

"This is a very exciting discovery,"said Agarwal. "Until now many medical technical devices and drugs were made for the prevention and fight against pancreatic cancer, but now we have discovered a completely natural way."
