It is scientifically proven that the processed meat increases the risk of pancreatic cancer.

According to studies made in Sweden,the processed meat increases the risk of pancreatic cancer.Scientists claim that one sausage a day can increase the risk of the deadly disease for 20 %.Cancer of the pancreas is called the silent killer because in its early stage does not show any symptoms.Even if some symptoms appear,they can be symptoms like : back pain,loss of appetite and weight.


Very often the disease is diagnosed too late,and because of this there are a small percentage of surviving patients which are suffering from this disease.

Scientists in Sweden have found that just 50 grams of processed meat a day increases the risk of pancreatic cancer by 19 %.
It is interesting that the normal red meat increases the chance of getting cancer,but only at men,women do not have that risk.

The scientist Susan Larson from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm said :


"Pancreatic cancer has a very low survival rate,so it is important for us to find what increases the risk of this disease."

Just over 8,000 Britons a year get sick from this incurable disease.The government last year advised the public to limit the consumption of the red and processed meat.
