Although we often use the yogurt with the morning meal, it would be a good idea to frequently replace it with kefir. And here's why.

Kefir is so healthy and we can even call it a " magic milk". It's made from goat's, cow's or sheep's milk, which is mixed with kefir grains and it is leaved to ferment. It is full of probiotics, healthy yeast, vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Easy to consume for those people who have problems with lactose tolerance. There are a ton of reasons why kefir is better than yogurt and that is the reason why we should at least occasionally replace with this drink.

What are kefir grains

Kefir grains are a combination of yeast and specific bacteria,mixed with a variety of proteins, lip-ids and sugars and all of them form a " clan" of the healthy bacteria in the fermented milk and that's why kefir has a denser structure. Kefir is a very old drink( it is believed that is more than 5000 years old ). It came to us from the Caucasus through China.

Kefir has the ability to cleanse our body and the digestive tract, eliminating bad bacteria, improve the immune system, controlling diabetes and lactose intolerance. It is very useful to those who want to lose weight, improve the health of skin and hair and to protect against various fungal and viral infections.

It is much better for easy digestion,because it contains healthy probiotics, which can get rid of the bad bacteria in the intestines and help us to better absorb and process the food. In addition,it contains dietary fiber.

People with diabetes and those who are lactose intolerant should regularly consume kefir. Kefir contains sugars, and the bacteria that "eats " the lactose. The excess sugar is cleaned from the body before it can start to cause problems with blood sugar. Those who consume kefir should bear in mind that this drink really cleans the body,so you will go to the toilet more often.

It is full of vitamin C and good minerals and therefore it is excellent for strengthening the immune system. It is rich in protein and boosts the metabolism,improves wound healing and provides faster recovery. Also it is very useful for those who have problems with arteriosclerosis or for those who have had a stroke or heart attack. Kefir can be very beneficial for them. Make a mix of kefir and beet juice for an extra healthy drink.
